Family Resource Initiative

The Family Resources Initiative is committed to providing information, support and advocacy for children, parents, licensed child care centers, family child care and school-age programs. We believe that a healthy community starts with ensuring that its youngest members are given loving security, education and the opportunity to develop through play and free expression. 

We help Eastern Washington parents find quality child care, and we build and improve the supply of licensed child care. We promote early learning methods that support families and help children succeed when they enter school. The role of the Family Resources Initiative is to bring new partners to the table, listen to family challenges and provide resources to help, and recommend and advocate for changes in legislation that would improve child care quality.
