Community-Minded Television’s Production Manager Recognized as a Rising Star by the Journal of Business
Spokane, Wash. — Community-Minded Television’s Production Manager DaShawn Bedford joins a short list of young professionals recognized as 2020 Rising Stars by the Journal of Business. “We are excited, but not surprised,” said Lee Williams, Chief Executive Officer of Community-Minded Enterprises, the station’s parent company. “DaShawn has a great knowledge of television production, is committed to serving the community and is a great leader.”
The award will be presented during a virtual celebration on September 10, 2020. To be eligible for the award, young professionals must be under 40 years old and work in the Inland Northwest. Bedford has been with the station since 2012, when he worked part-time as a production associate. For him the honor is one he shares with his CMTV14 coworkers “It’s all about the team” said Bedford “without them it’s not possible.”
Bedford is one of ten young professionals to receive the award this year. Recipients were nominated by Journal of Business readers. The annual event is sponsored by the Journal and Washington Trust Bank.
Community-Minded Television is located at 104 3rd Avenue (3rd and Browne) in Spokane. CMTV14’s 24-hour programming can be found locally on Comcast Channel 14. The station’s services include classes, equipment checkout, video production, program submission, studio rental, and membership.
