DESCRIPTION:This is a comprehensive business curriculum uniquely designed for child care owners and administrators from both centers and family child care. This curriculum covers business plans\, business leadership\, marketing\, and finance. It delivers hands-on learning activities and tools to strengthen child care businesses\, prepare for lending opportunities\, and improve facilities\, program marketing\, and overall program effectiveness. \nThis virtual series is a mixture of live webinars and self-paced learning. The webinar dates are listed below. \n\nKickoff– April 4\nChild Care Possible – April 11\nMarketing Strategies – April 25\nLeadership and Management– May 9\nSmart Finance – May 23\nPutting it All Together – June 6\n\nAll work and content must be completed to earn credit. After completing the series you will earn 21.5 STARS hours and will also be able to submit for MERIT reimbursement.  Registration closes April 8 at noon.

Gain insight into new ways to understand challenging behaviors. Learn relationship‐based strategies to respond to children’s social emotional needs for safe\, secure relationships in the classroom\, a necessary ingredient for learning. \nYou will: \n\nExplore the importance of teachers in children’s lives and the central role relationships play in learning\nLearn how to respond to challenging behaviors in ways that enhance security in the relationship\nPractice observation and reflection skills\nLearn to use the COSP Classroom graphic and other practical classroom applications and strategies\nApply COSP Classroom to strengthen relationships and support children’s attachment needs\nLearn to apply COSP Classroom strategies to create relationship friendly classrooms\n\n  \nThis training is being offered for providers on the waitlist who are participating in tier 1 mental health consultation. Registration will be prioritized for these individuals.
