Do you or the children end up getting frustrated with projects? Or are you just out of fresh ideas? This training is designed to help early learning professionals better understand why art is important\, identify what type of art is developmentally appropriate for children\, and discuss great ways to implement and display children’s art in the child care environment. Teachers will leave with ideas for art projects that provide children with fun opportunities for discovery and learning. \nIf circumstances force our cancellation of in-person classes (or a shift to an online format)\, we will contact those who are registered. This module includes 3 live webinars held Saturday mornings\, 9 am-12 pm on 4/23\, 5/21\, and 6/25. In addition to joining all three live webinars\, PACE includes additional work in-between webinars. If you need the initial certificate (or equivalent) to meet WAC education requirements for your role and desire to participate in this module\, please register below. \nWhen? SUMMARY:Enhancing Quality Early Learning (EQEL) – Year 1- First 10 Hours
DESCRIPTION:QEL training is developed by DCYF in partnership with Cultivate Learning and is made available at no cost by DCYF. According to the new WAC effective 8/1/19\, after completing the 30-hour Child Care Basics\, new (hired on or after 8/1/19) directors\, assistant directors\, program supervisors\, family home owners\, lead teachers\, and assistant teachers take this 10-hour class the following year and another 10 hours the year after that. \nThis class will be held live and online\, January 15 and January 29 from  9:30am-12:00pm and 1:00-3:30pm (You must attend all sessions). It will address culturally responsive practices\, brain building\, executive function\, and responsive caregiving. Registering for the first part registers you in all four parts. \nThis class is only open to teachers who are required by WAC to take it.
