SUMMARY:Trauma Informed Care Modules - Advanced (In -Person)
DESCRIPTION:Are you ready to expand your knowledge of Trauma-Informed Care? \nStep into a world where compassion meets science\, and your impact on those you serve deepens with every interaction. Discover how understanding trauma can transform your approach\, creating a foundation of trust\, resilience\, and healing. This is more than just a course-it’s a journey toward becoming a re empathetic\, effective caregiver. \nTogether we will explore: \n\nThe impact of relationships on neuro-biology\nThe prevalence and types of trauma\nStrategies for integrating trauma-informed practices with children\, families\, and staff\nSelf-care and reflection to support regulations and resilience.\n\nThis intensive course includes 5 days of in-class sessions and 3-4 hours of independent work between sessions.  Space is limited\, so those who register should be committed to completing the entire series. DESCRIPTION:Child Care Basics (CCB) is the initial training to meet part of the health and safety requirements for providers working in licensed early learning programs. This 30-hour series prepares early learning professionals to be knowledgeable of child development\, resourceful in planning activities\, skilled in guiding behavior\, and able to maintain healthy environments. Child Care Basics is based on Washington State’s Core Competencies for Early Care and Education Professionals. Interactive learning activities\, video clips\, discussion questions\, and additional resources provide a variety of learning opportunities. The curriculum is designed to meet the needs of both childcare center staff and family home childcare providers. \nThis class will take place over one week in-person. Before registering\, please make sure you can attend each day August 5-August 9 from 9:00am-4:00pm. You will not receive credit if you do not attend all 5 days.
