DESCRIPTION:Core Competences: Child Growth and Development\, Ongoing Measures of Child Progress\, Level 2 Trainer: Shawna Glasscock Description: In this training\, program staff will learn how to complete and score screenings. Staff will also learn techniques to share information with parents and  follow up with children’s referrals to local agencies. You must attend both sessions. You must have preschool children in your program and you must work in one of the following counties: Benton\, Franklin\, Walla Walla\, Columbia\, Garfield\, or Asotin. Due to the current circumstances\, this training will be offered on Zoom for a reduced price. A few days before the training\, you will receive an email with the link to join the Zoom. This is separate from the automatically-generated email you receive right after registration. If you cannot find the email with the link\, check your junk folder. Sometimes they are sent there. DESCRIPTION:Recovery Coach Training is designed for those interested in promoting the health and wellness of people with substance abuse disorders. Learn to help remove barriers and obstacles to recovery for those seeking or already in recovery. \n$200 registration fee includes a manual. DESCRIPTION:If you are having technical difficulties registering on the internet\, please call (509)385-2780 for assistance with registration over the phone.\nDates: March 18 & March 25 \nCore Competences: Interactions Level 1-2 \nTrainer: Rebekah Klemke \nSTARS: 6 \nDescription: \nFlip It is a social emotional strategy to help young children learn about their feelings\, gain self-control and reduce challenging behaviors.  This technique is useful for all adults who interact with young children. Flip It can be used in targeted interventions for a child displaying specific behavioral concerns\, or during every-day minor challenges and conflicts. You must attend both days and will earn 6 STARS hours. \n  \nIf circumstances force our cancellation of in-person classes (or a shift to an online format)\, we will contact those who are registered. Likewise\, if COVID conditions or protocols lead you to want to cancel your attendance\, please let us know by noon the day before your class and we will issue you a full refund or offer a swap if appropriate. \nThe following protocols will be followed: \n\nSurfaces will be disinfected prior to class\nGuests will be asked to answer a health screening upon entry\nIf you are showing any symptoms of illness\, please do not attend\nClass sizes will be limited to accommodate individuals  spaced 6 feet part (register early to save your seat)\nWindows and doors may be at least partially open to encourage air flow (consider layering up)\nMasks are recommended for all participants (please bring your own)\nHand sanitizer will be available in our classrooms\nWe are requesting that you bring your own pen/pencil and paper\, to avoid sharing materials\nFor safety reasons we will not be eating in our training spaces at this time.
