The Growing Brain: Social-Emotional Development & Understanding Behavior

June 8, 2019 @ 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Registration has closed. Please see the July session of The Growing Brain.

This day of training is designed especially for infant and toddler teachers. You will have the opportunity to deepen your understanding of how social-emotional development unfolds in the first years of life and the brain’s role in this process. You will also develop an understanding of how children’s behavior is influenced by the brain.

This series developed Zero to Three looks at the neuroscience of the developing brain. The developing and growing brain is one of the most important topics in early childhood development, as experiences in the first years of life actually shape the architecture and functioning of the brain. It’s the basic day-to-day experiences, be they nurturing or not, that set a child on his course of brain development for life. Clearly, this is an essential topic!
