DESCRIPTION:Inside the Mind of Autism for educators is presented through the lens of educators.\nIn this comprehensive four-hour in-person class\, we will define autism and variations of the disorder.\nIndividuals will be introduced to the prevalence\, classifications\, and sensory integration and how it\nrelates to and characteristics of ASD\, learn strategies to help effectively manage behavior\, and tools to\nsupport communication with individuals with ASD\, and community resources for families and\nindividuals with ASD. \nYou will be taught: \n\nAbout autism spectrum disorder and its characteristics\nTools to manage challenging ASD behaviors\nTools to effectively communicate with individuals with ASD\nAbout resources for families and individuals with ASD\n\nThis is a partnership with the Isaac Foundation.
