Community-Minded Enterprises is proud to share that our Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program, or ECEAP, has received a Level 5 Early Achievers recognition, the highest recognition level a program can receive through Washington’s early learning quality recognition system.
Early Achievers is Washington’s framework for measuring and improving quality in child care and early learning settings. The system helps families better understand the quality of early learning programs while supporting providers in strengthening the care, learning environments, and experiences they offer children.
A Level 5 recognition represents excellence in early learning. It reflects the high-quality practices happening every day in our classrooms, including safe and supportive learning environments, meaningful child development support, strong family engagement, and a commitment to helping each child grow, learn, and prepare for kindergarten.
Through our ECEAP classrooms, CME provides preschool education and family support services to eligible children and families. Our program is rooted in the belief that every child deserves access to early learning experiences that help them feel confident, cared for, and ready for school.
Receiving a Level 5 Early Achievers recognition is a meaningful milestone for our program, our staff, and the families we serve. We are grateful to our ECEAP team for the commitment they bring to this work every day, and we are proud to continue providing high-quality early learning opportunities in our community.
This achievement is a direct reflection of our ECEAP staff, whose dedication made this recognition possible. Their work requires more than lesson plans and classroom routines. It requires trust, consistency, creativity, and a deeply held belief in the potential of every child.
This achievement was also supported by Early Achievers Program, and our coach Sandra Gallager, whose guidance helped the program prepare for and move through the recognition process. Her coaching supported the team’s ongoing work to examine practice, strengthen quality, and demonstrate the excellence already taking place in CME’s ECEAP classrooms.
CME delivers ECEAP through direct-service classrooms in Spokane and through subcontracted slots in Pasco, Prosser, Kennewick, Benton City, and Newport. This reach allows CME to bring high-quality, no-cost early learning to children and families across a wide stretch of eastern and central Washington, both in our own classrooms and in partnership with providers in the communities we serve.
CME’s ECEAP program is now enrolling for the 2026/2027 school year, and a Level 5 recognition level means your child would be starting in one of the highest-quality early learning environments in the state, at no cost to families who qualify.
