Beyond the Bubble: Rethinking Transitions in Early Learning
Transitions can be challenging for young children, but they also provide meaningful opportunities for learning and engagement. In this interactive, in-person session, participants will reflect and explore strategies for creating child -centered transitions that support respect and positive interactions. Participants will learn how transitions impact a child’s day and how, as teachers, we can be intentional around the frequency and type of transitions we offer. join us as we use discussion and reflection to develop practical tools for evaluating and creating transitions that make sense and are successful for every child.
Through discussion, reflection, and practical application, participants will:
- Examine current transition practices
- Explore strategies that support children’s engagement and success
- Learn how to create respectful, child-centered transitions
- Develop practical tools to implement effective transitions in their own environments
