Hands Across the Falls
September 30, 2017 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
What: Join us on the Monroe Street Bridge over the Spokane Falls in a public show of support celebrating recovery. We will join hands as a way to show strength and unity for those in recovery.
Where: This event will begin on both sides of the Monroe Street Bridge. We will gather at Kendall Yards to the north and Main Avenue at the Spokane Club to the south.
Time: The actual event starts right at noon. Please assemble at either end of the bridge no later than 11:30am for final instructions. Attendees will be given a Hands Across the Falls medal to take home.
Who: Family, friends and individuals who support the recovery movement in the Spokane area.
Help us celebrate: We encourage organizations who support recovery to show their pride. Dress in shirts with your organization’s logo on it. Bring a banner or sign proclaiming your support of people in recovery.
Show your support: Sign on as a public supporter of Hands Across the Falls and the community wide effort to celebrate recovery.
Volunteer: We are in need of volunteers. Contact us at RecoveryCafe@community-minded.org to learn how you can help.
Keep up-to-date: Watch for updates on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/RecoveryCafeSpokane/
Following Hands Across the Falls: Join us at Recovery Café Spokane for an open house. The café is getting a makeover courtesy of KXLY and the Extreme Team. This will be the public’s first chance to see the renovated café. There will also be resources available for people interested in recovery services and supports in Spokane.
