Childcare Business Info Session

Interested in opening a licensed family child care business in your home? Join us for this free informational session to learn more about the opportunities, requirements, and supports available to help you get started.

This session is open to individuals with refugee and/or asylee status, as well as all residents of the City of Spokane who are interested in becoming licensed child care providers. During the session, we will provide an overview of the family child care licensing process, discuss the steps involved in starting a home-based child care business, and explain what to expect throughout the process.

Participants will also learn about the support available through our cohort program, which may include training, licensing guidance, business development assistance, mentorship, interpretation services, and other resources designed to help aspiring providers successfully open and operate their child care businesses.

Whether you are just exploring the idea or ready to take the next step, this session is a great opportunity to ask questions, connect with program staff, and learn how you can make a difference for children and families in your community.
