Inside the Mind of Autism for Educators

Inside the Mind of Autism for educators is presented through the lens of educators.
In this comprehensive four-hour in-person class, we will define autism and variations of the disorder.
Individuals will be introduced to the prevalence, classifications, and sensory integration and how it
relates to and characteristics of ASD, learn strategies to help effectively manage behavior, and tools to
support communication with individuals with ASD, and community resources for families and
individuals with ASD.

You will be taught:

  • About autism spectrum disorder and its characteristics
  • Tools to manage challenging ASD behaviors
  • Tools to effectively communicate with individuals with ASD
  • About resources for families and individuals with ASD
