This is a four-part training series on the impacts of trauma exposure in early childhood and the implications of trauma in early childhood settings. Part 1 introduces foundational concepts of trauma as a scientific phenomenon and why caregiver self-care is essential. Part 2 is a deeper exploration of trauma impacts that show up in young children. Part 3 focuses on the planning and development of trauma-informed practices, including key considerations for implementation in childcare settings. Part 4 helps early childhood programs to plan to engage parents and families as collaborative partners in trauma-informed work at their programs.
