Description:

Learn practices to support children who speak a language other than English. Earn in-service (STARS) hours and receive an educational kit that includes books, educational toys and other learning materials to use in the classroom. This training is designed for child care providers that speak English, but work with children who speak other languages. You will learn about the importance of culture in the acquisition of language, the benefits of learning more than one language, and how to support language development for all children.

We would like everyone who attends our trainings to have the opportunity to benefit from their learning. If you require accommodations to fully participate, please contact professionaldevelopment@community-minded.org at least one week in advance of the training.
