Advocacy 101

April 21, 2022 @ 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Free

Core Competences: Professional Development and Leadership, Level 2

Trainer: Alex Hanel, Child Care Aware of Washington

Description:

This training will explore advocacy – what it is, how to do it, and all the details in between. Whether you are a childcare provider, parent, business owner, or community member, you will learn how your voice matters and can make a huge impact on children and families.

  • Open to child care providers, parents, scholars, and any interested advocates
  • 90-minute online zoom training
  • Learn what advocacy is, the basics of state and federal government, and how you can help shape better child care policies for everyone!

A few days before the training, you will receive an email with the link to join the Zoom. This is separate from the automatically-generated email you receive right after registration. If you cannot find the email with the link, check your junk folder. Sometimes they are sent there.
We would like everyone who attends our trainings to have the opportunity to benefit from their learning. If you require accommodations to fully participate, please contact professionaldevelopment@community-minded.org at least one week in advance of the training.
